Submarine Test :
On Monday 11, 2005 LIU tested for the first time it's Submarine. Murex, the submarine, was designed under the strict supervision of Dr. Tarek Harb for over a year and a half. Dr. Harb’s team was composed mainly by about 20 students from all three LIU campuses. The test was conducted with the coordination and under the supervision of the Lebanese Army.
As Dr. Harb said, all tests done that day were successful, so now they will fine tune all systems to get ready for Murex maiden voyage very soon. We will keep you posted of the final date!!
We want to congratulate Dr. Harb and his team for making history, since a project of this magnitude has not been attempted before in Lebanon.
